The Hottest Stephen Strasburg Rookie Cards To Collect

2010 has been an exciting year for baseball card collectors. There are a few young super stars in the making that have made their Major League debuts this season. In this day and age it seems like baseball rookies are getting called up a lot faster so fans get a chance to see these young players and what they can do at the next level.

And there is no baseball rookie that is as hot as Stephen Strasburg right now. Strasburg was the number one pick in 2009 MLB draft by the Washington Nationals. The flame throwing youngster started the 2010 season in the Minor Leagues. But on June 8, 2010 he got his chance as he was called up to the big club. And Stephen Strasburg has been quite impressive. Not bad for a 22 year old with so much hype and pressure bestowed upon him. At the time of this writing, Stephen Strasburg has started nine games for the Nationals and
has put up some staggering numbers. He has a 5-2 record and has pitched a total of 54.1 innings. He has struck out a mind-numbing 75 batters and has an ERA of 2.32.

And as you can imagine, his early success has led to a frenzy of collectors trying to get the best Stephen Strasburg rookie cards on the market. Strasburg's best rookie card so far has been the 2010 Bowman Red Auto 1/1 that sold for nearly $17,000 on eBay. Another sought after Stephen Strasburg rookie card issue is his 2010 Topps Allen & Ginter mini SP card #401. It is fetching between $200-$400 on eBay and doesn't appear to be slowing down. There is also a Stephen Strasburg eTopps rookie card that is out on the market and is selling for
$35-$40.

And the good news is that there are more Stephen Strasburg rookie card issues on the way. 2010 Bowman Chrome and 2010 Topps Chrome baseball cards are scheduled to release later this year.
